UT Tyler Names Jeffrey Noblitt the New Vice President of Marketing

Jeffrey Noblitt has been appointed the new vice president of marketing at The University of Texas at Tyler, effective Jan. 1, 2022.

“Jeff comes to UT Tyler with more than 20 years of experience in higher education, publishing and journalism,” said Kirk A. Calhoun, MD, FACP, UT Tyler president. “He has led award-winning teams to build powerful brands and advance institutions through strategic integrated marketing communications.”

In addition, Noblitt is committed to community service and economic development, having served on several nonprofits and business organizations in California and Illinois.

His expertise will help UT Tyler access new markets, engage new audiences and enhance the university’s overall reputation and distinction, Calhoun added.

As the associate vice president for marketing and communications at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) since 2013, Noblitt led an initiative to elevate CSUN’s visibility and reputation throughout Southern California, resulting in record-breaking philanthropic support and enrollment growth. Prior to his role at CSUN, he served as executive director of marketing and communications at Waubonsee Community College in suburban Chicago.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication from Loyola University Chicago and a Master of Science degree in integrated marketing communications from Roosevelt University.

With a mission to improve educational and healthcare outcomes for East Texas and beyond, UT Tyler offers more than 80 undergraduate and graduate programs to 10,000 students. UT Tyler recently merged with The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler (now known as The Health Science Center at UT Tyler).
