About the CETL

Our Mission

The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) is dedicated to the advancement of best practices in teaching and learning at The University of Texas at Tyler. The CETL provides workshops, keynote speakers, and awards for faculty and staff throughout the year to promote research-based, inclusive, and engaging teaching in order to enhance the academic success of UT Tyler students. 

Our People

Dr. Danielle Bailey is the Director of the CETL. She is also an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice in the College of Arts & Sciences at UT Tyler.

Lynette Sutter is the Administrative Assistant for the CETL. She also supports the Faculty Senate and the Academy of Distinguished Teachers at UT Tyler.
