What is New Patriot Orientation?
Orientation is an exciting on-campus two-day program that will introduce you to life at UT Tyler, allow you to meet other students, faculty, and staff, and learn about the resources available to help you succeed as a Patriot.
There are 6 New Patriot Orientation sessions available through June and July 2026.
Up to two (2) guests may attend New Patriot Orientation this summer. Guests age 18 years and older are $60 each. Guests under the age of 18 years are not permitted at New Patriot Orientation.
The cost to attend New Patriot Orientation is assessed as your New Student Fee on your fall 2026 bill, and there is no charge to attend Swoop Camp!
Registration is required for all New Patriot Orientation sessions. All sessions have capacity limits and sessions will close once all spots are filled.
Academic Advising and Course Registration
Academic Advising and Course Registration will take place during your New Patriot Orientation session! To ensure you are advised correctly, please be sure that all transcripts and testing scores have been submitted to the university at least two weeks before your orientation session.
