Family Weekend at UT Tyler

Join us for Family Weekend!

October 1st through 4th, 2026

Below you will find more information about our registration process, timeline, the Family Weekend schedule, registration links for students & families/guests, and hotel information for the city of Tyler. 

Registration is free for students and $60 for adults, $40 for under 16. The ticket price includes drinks, snacks, meals, swag items, and entertainment for the weekend. Family Association members receive an exclusive discounted ticket price with a discount code. Faculty & Staff are encouraged to participate and will need to register as well. T-shirt sizes range from adult small - adult 3 XL.

Registration Timeline

Registration Opens	August 24th, 2026	Registration for Family Weekend opens at early bird pricing, Family Association members receive their discount code in their email
	August 31st, 2026	Registration for Family Weekend opens for non-Family Association members
Late Fee Added to Registration	September 10th, 2026	Family Weekend registration late fee will be applied to the ticket cost
Registration Closes	September 21st, 2026	Family Weekend registration will close and no additional ticket sales will be available

Thursday, October 1st, 2026	UT Tyler Movie Night	Enjoy a movie night on campus complete with popcorn, drinks, and your favorite candy snacks!
Friday, October 2nd, 2026	Check In for Family Weekend	Check in and receive your swag items for the weekend
	Freshman Night with UT Tyler Volleyball vs. UT Permian Basin	Join us as we cheer on the Patriots Volleyball team for a home game against the UT Permian Basin Falcons! Free game admission with Family Weekend wrist band.
Saturday, October 3rd, 2026	Check In for Family Weekend	Check in and receive your swag items for the weekend.
	Kick-Off Breakfast	The official start to Family Weekend 2026! Join us for breakfast, university updates, announcements, and a weekend overview.
	Choose Your Own Adventure	A variety of exciting events are being planned for you and your family to select from the activities that appeal to you most!
	Dueling Pianos	Enjoy an evening of entertainment with dueling pianos, a dessert reception, and beverages!
Sunday, October 4th, 2026	Jazz Brunch with the UT Tyler Jazz Band	Join us for the farewell brunch with a live performance from our incredible UT Tyler Jazz Band.
