Family Weekend at UT Tyler

Join us for Family Weekend!

September 25-28th, 2025

Below you will find more information about our registration process, timeline, the Family Weekend schedule, registration links for students & families/guests, and hotel information for the city of Tyler. 

Registration is free for students and $75 for adults, $45 for under 16. This is inclusive of drinks, snacks, meals, swag items, and entertainment for the weekend. Family Association members receive an exclusive discounted ticket price with a discount code. Faculty & Staff are encouraged to participate and will need to register as well. T-shirt sizes range from adult small - adult 3 XL.

Registration Timeline

Registration Opens	June 4th, 2025	Registration for Family Weekend opens at early bird pricing, Family Association members receive their discount code in their email
Late Fee Added to Registration	September 1st, 2025	Family Weekend registration late fee will be applied to the ticket cost
Registration Closes	September 14th, 2025	Family Weekend registration will close and no additional ticket sales will be available

Thursday, September 25th, 2025	UT Tyler Day at the East Texas State Fair	UT Tyler students get free admission to the ETX State Fair from 4-7 pm
Friday, September 26th, 2025	Check In for Family Weekend	Check in and grab your swag items and supplies for the weekend
	Family Tailgate	Join us as we cheer on the Patriots Volleyball team for a home game! Free game admission with Family Weekend wrist band.
	Family Weekend Happy Hour	Relax and start the weekend with complimentary beverages during our happy hour!
	Patriots Family Night Out	Explore the city of Tyler and enjoy nightlife, food, shopping, and entertainment. Discounts provided at select stores.
Saturday, September 27th, 2025	Check In for Family Weekend	Check in and grab your swag items and supplies for the weekend
	President's Breakfast	Join the University President for a morning of yummy food, university updates, announcements, and weekend overview.
	Choose your Adventure	Pick from a wide array of activities to participate in with your family that range from exploring the city of Tyler, attending an athletic game, learning more about the Family Association, or meeting other first generation families!
	Service Project	Help us give back to the city fo Tyler and UT Tyler with a dedicated time for service
	Ultimate Bingo	Join us as we transform UT Tyler into a bingo hall with your favorite dotting markers, paper cards, and unbelievable prizes!
	Night on the Plaza	Enjoy an evening outside on our Patriot Plaza with live music, entertainment, food trucks, and a cash bar
Sunday, September 28th, 2025	Jazz Brunch with the UT Tyler Jazz Band	Join us for exquisite breakfast foods with live performances from our UT Tyler Jazz Band
