Below you will find more information about the Family Weekend schedule and hotel information for the city of Tyler.
Registration is now closed, but we look forward to seeing you at future events at UT Tyler!
Registration Timeline
| Registration Opens | August 24th, 2026 | Registration for Family Weekend opens at early bird pricing, Family Association members receive their discount code in their email |
| August 31st, 2026 | Registration for Family Weekend opens for non-Family Association members | |
| Late Fee Added to Registration | September 14th, 2026 | Family Weekend registration late fee will be applied to the ticket cost ($5 additional per ticket) |
| Registration Closes | September 21st, 2026 | Family Weekend registration will close and no additional ticket sales will be available |

Check In for Family Weekend in the New Student and Family Programs suite (University Center #3400) | Check in and receive your swag items for the weekend |
| 6 PM | Freshman Night with UT Tyler Volleyball vs. UT Permian Basin at the Herrington Patriot Center | Join us as we cheer on the Patriots Volleyball team for a home game against the UT Permian Basin Falcons! Free game admission with Family Weekend wrist band. |

| 9:45 to 11 AM | Kick-Off Breakfast in the University Center Ballroom, on the 3rd floor of the University Center | The official start to Family Weekend 2026! Join us for breakfast, university updates, announcements, and a weekend overview. |

Choose Your Own Adventure and Lunch On Your Own
Lunch options available: The Met- open for brunch from 10:30 AM to 2 PM on the 1st floor of the University Center Swoop and Go convenience store- open 1 to 8 PM in the University Center Starbucks- open from 10 AM to 3 PM in the Robert R. Muntz Library |
A variety of different events have been planned for you and your family to select from. Select from activities that appeal to you and your family the most:
Trivia Contests in the Mabry Theater Foyer with fun prizes available! Board games and video games available in the Patriot Zone! Photobooth and picture frame painting on the 2nd floor of the University Center! |
| 7 to 9 PM | Dueling Pianos in the University Center Ballroom | Enjoy an evening of entertainment with dueling pianos, a dessert reception, and beverages! |

Jazz Brunch with the UT Tyler Jazz Band in the University Center Ballroom | Join us for the farewell brunch with a live performance from our incredible UT Tyler Jazz Band. |
