UT Tyler invested $14,000 (through a Presidential Scholarly Research Grant) as seed money in the Fall of 2020 to help launch this initiative and we are proud to now have a gaming lab with 5 gaming stations (each gaming station cost approximately $1,753.00) in the Soules College of Business, set up in collaboration with CDWG’s eSports manager. We currently have 12 students ready to participate in the first UT Tyler eSports Team for the 2021-2022 school year. The Soules College of Business in collaboration with the Computer Science Department is investing another $10,000 to add 5 more gaming stations for the 2021-2022 school year! |
