College Panhellenic Council

College Panhellenic Council

We have three National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) sororities here at UT Tyler. Those chapters are: Alpha Chi Omega, Delta Gamma, and Zeta Tau Alpha.

The College Panhellenic Council (CPC) and its executive board establish working relationships among all of our organizations, and they also ensure that all chapters maintain the standards and expectations that are set by the National Panhellenic Conference.

Some of the other responsibilites that our College Panhellenic Council has is to plan Primary Recruitment (sometimes called Formal Recruitment), plan and execute "all-sorority" social events, education, and mediate issues within the sorority community, should any arise.

How to Join

Generally, women desiring membership in an NPC sorority go through primary recruitment. For more information on Primary Recruitment visit our Sorority Recruitment page!

If Primary Recruitment isn't for you, chapters in Panhellenic may participate in a process called Continuous Open Bidding, sometimes called "COB". Continuous Open Bidding is a chapter guided process where events are held by chapters for interested women who may not have known about/may not have wanted to engage in Primary Recruitment.

It is important to note that some chapters may participate and some may not. If you are 100% wanting to join a College Panhellenic sorority at UT Tyler, we would recommend you to join during primary recruitment.
