The Texas Allergy, Indoor Environment and Energy (TxAIRE) Institute serves as a catalyst, facilitator and leader in the research and development of new residential and commercial building technologies to improve indoor air and environmental quality and reduce associated energy usage costs.

A collaboration between Texas government, industry and academia, TxAIRE places its overarching focus on high performance buildings with key elements including: indoor environmental quality as it relates to human health; building systems design and performance; and energy efficiency.

Through TxAIRE, The University of Texas at Tyler is working with more 40 companies from across the state to accelerate the application of Texas-based products and technologies, including green sciences, to build tomorrow's homes – today.
