Accreditation

The University of Texas at Tyler is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees. Commission on Colleges

The Graduate Medical Education Program oversees all residency programs at the Health Science Center at UT Tyler. Our exceptional residency training programs comply with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).


The UT Health Psychology Internship Program received accreditation on May 1, 2017, from the American Psychological Association (APA) with the status: “Accredited” dating back to October 28, 2016. “Accreditation” represents accreditation that is contingent upon follow-up data delivered to the APA, and is often a designation for young programs that do not yet have enough prior years of intern data. The program is listed on the APA website of accredited internship programs.
