Our program believes strongly in the value of in-person connections and, as such, we conduct in-person interviews in Tyler, TX, on Thursdays. Interviews usually occur October through January, but may change based on our scheduling needs.

Clinical Information

Our residents work with a diverse group of physicians including a number of staff anesthesiologists employed by UT Health East Texas with decades of experience in private practice. We are also fortunate to have a core group of academic faculty with extensive experience teaching residents in academic practice settings.

Yes, moonlighting is available beginning the second half of CA-1 year, provided certain academic and clinical performance minimums are met by the residents. Our program outlines clear expectations for residents in order to be eligible for moonlighting and follows all applicable ABA & ACGME policies relating to resident wellness and duty hour limits.
