How It Works

With UT Tyler's Guaranteed Tuition Rate Plan, you can lock in today's tuition rates, avoid any future tuition increases and earn up to $1,200 off the cost of a four-year degree plus an additional $1,000 through the State of Texas.

  • Request, complete and return the Guaranteed Tuition Rate Plan application by the first day of the semester by calling UT Tyler's Cashiers Office at 903.566.7180 or by emailing the Cashiers Office at cashiers@uttyler.edu.
  • Earn 30 credit hours toward your degree and a minimum 3.0 GPA at UT Tyler your first academic year and receive $200 off your next semester's tuition payment.
  • Earn 60 credit hours toward your degree and a minimum 3.0 GPA at UT Tyler your second academic year and receive $400 off your next semester's tuition payment.
  • Earn 90 credit hours toward your degree and a minimum 3.0 GPA at UT Tyler your third academic year and receive $600 off your next semester's tuition payment.
  • Texas Residents can potentially qualify for an additional $1,000 through the State of Texas Tuition Rebate for certain undergraduate programs.

Eligibility

  • The Guaranteed Tuition Rate Plan is available to all incoming freshmen and undergraduate transfer students entering UT Tyler in Fall 2014 or thereafter.
  • The plan is available only to incoming students who are seeking their first bachelor's degree.
  • The plan does not apply to continuing undergraduates or graduate students.
  • Community college students may opt for the Guaranteed Tuition Rate Plan by declaring an intent to transfer to UT Tyler.
  • Once you have selected the Guaranteed Tuition Rate Plan option, you may not change to the Traditional Tuition Plan.
