Program Overview

Spain is an ideal destination for sports management due to its global influence in professional football (soccer) and sports innovation. Students will immerse themselves in Madrid and discover Spain's vibrant sport industry with site visits to Real Madrid, Formula 1 Arcade, and an industry visit to La Liga. 

Academics

Students participating in the Sports Management program to Spain will be enrolled in MANA 3310 in the spring semester. The course does not have a prerequisite and is open to any students who have an interest in managing sports organizations. The tuition and fees associated with the course are not included in the program fee.

Housing & Meals

Housing

Housing is in a centrally located hotel. Breakfast and wireless internet is included. 

Meals

The program includes a welcome and farewell dinner and daily breakfast at the hotel. All other meals are at the expense of the participants. 

Transportation

In-country transportation is included in the program fee, i.e. group airport pick-up & drop-off and round-trip transportation for all site visits and excursions on the program itinerary. International round-trip airfare is not included in the program fee.

Entry Requirements

Passport

All international travel requires a valid passport. The passport must be valid for the entire duration of your stay. In addition, your passport must have at least six months’ remaining validity on your passport from the date of your planned return. If you do not have a passport, schedule your appointment at the UT Tyler Passport Acceptance Facility.

Vaccinations

None required.
