All ensembles in the School of Performing Arts are open to music majors, music minors, and non-majors. Ensembles perform throughout the semester on and off campus. Join an ensemble today!
Choirs
UT Tyler choral ensembles include the Concert Chorale and Patriot Singers under the direction of Dr. Cameron Rose.
Jazz
The jazz area includes two large jazz ensembles, smaller jazz combos, and improvisation class. All of which are open to any student regardless of major.
Chamber Ensembles
From Chamber Strings to Percussion Ensemble, the School of Performing Arts offers a number of chamber ensemble experiences.
Patriot Drumline
Directed by Dr. Tyree Hastings, the Patriot Drumline is for musicians of all levels who have a desire to play and support the university.
Music Ambassadors
The Music Ambassadors Outreach Program consists of the Patriot Brass Quintet and Swoop Jazz Collective. Students audition for participation and receive a scholarship once selected.
Opera & Musical Theatre
UT Tyler staged productions are open to students of any major, based upon audition.
Wind Ensemble
The UT Tyler Wind Ensemble is the university's leading instrumental performance group and consists of both music and non-music majors.
