Biography
Dr. Sharma is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Texas, Tyler. He comes with over 15 years of experience in the finance industry, as an equity research analyst. That's right, he has spent a good chunk of his life digging into company financials. Naturally, his research interests are in the areas of Corporate Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, Capital Raising, and Corporate Governance, with a granular focus on information exchange between companies and investors, particularly private exchange of information.
Dr. Sharma also likes to spend time with his students, teaching finance or chatting about his experience. Outside the office, he is either with his family, or glued to a TV screen, indulging in his love for films and series from around the world, in multiple languages. He also likes being outdoors, has managed to complete several half-marathons and has trekked to the Everest Base Camp, which is almost as high as the tallest peak in North America!
