After a distinguished 22-year career in the United States Military, Mark and his family
moved to Florida where he served as President of the Business Network International
(BNI) Chapter in Northwest Florida. He returned to East Texas in 2012 to be close
to family. In 2018, after earning his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
(Magna Cum Laude) from South University, Mark joined UT Tyler as the Career Success
Coach for the College of Engineering. He earned his Master of Science in Human Resource
Development from The University of Texas at Tyler in May 2021.
Mark has served on the Board of Directors for CAMPV (Community Assisting Military
Personnel and Veterans) in Tyler, Texas since 2019, where he continues to connect
Veterans and their families with the resources in East Texas.
In 2023, Mark earned the UT Tyler President’s Passion Award for his "can-do" attitude
and passion for students, alumni, and our community partners. He began his current
position of Director of Development for the College of Engineering in May 2023.
Mark is married to his high school sweetheart, Judy, and reside in Jacksonville, Texas.
They have two adult children, two grandchildren, and two American Akitas. Mark is
passionate about serving and helping others.
