What is ECRT?
The University of Texas at Tyler utilizes an on-line, web-based effort reporting system
called ECRT (Effort Certification and Reporting Technology). This system facilitates
both the monitoring of effort distributions during the year and the required annual
certification of effort. ECRT can be used to monitor effort.
Certification Schedule
Effort Certification through ECRT will be undertaken quarterly. As with the previous
effort reporting system, faculty and staff principal investigators will have 2 weeks
(14 days) to certify. Important dates for time and effort certification are listed
below.
Time and Effort Certification FY25 Important Dates
Quarter 1
Monthly: September 1st- November 30th
November 30th – No more sponsored projects payroll changes for this time period both
campuses.
Academic Campus: December 11th through January 8th
HSC Campus: January 20th – January 31st HSC Campus Certification Dates
Quarter 2
Monthly: December 1st - February 28th
February 28th- No more sponsored projects payroll changes for this time period both
campuses.
March 16th-March 30th Both Campuses Certification Dates
Quarter 3
Monthly: March 1st-May 30st
May 30th No more sponsored projects payroll changes for this time period both campuses.
June 15th through June 29th Both Campuses Certification Dates
Quarter 4
Monthly: June 1st – August 31st
August 31- No more sponsored projects payroll changes for this time period both campuses.
September 14th through September 28th Both Campuses Certification Dates
