Cayden Mitcham is double-majoring in accounting and finance. He was drawn to UT Tyler because of its affordability and class size. He took an accounting course with Professor Reynolds. She saw his potential and encouraged him to pursue it. That inspiration led Cayden to double major in Accounting and Finance, where he excelled in the program with the support and guidance of his professors. He is grateful that UT Tyler’s program allows him to double major in Accounting and Finance. It helps Cayden meet the credit hour requirements for the CPA exam without needing to pursue a master’s degree.

With the help of the Presidential Rose Scholarship, Cayden is able to focus his time and energy on student clubs, supporting UT Tyler athletic events, and excelling in his academic program. As president of the Financial Management Association at UT Tyler, he's had the opportunity to grow as a leader and connect with fellow students who share his passion for finance.
