Graduate Assistantships

Graduate Studies

The Department of Art & Art History offers several graduate assistantships each academic year. The primary goal of an assistantship is to provide work experience in the profession under the supervision of a faculty mentor. As a graduate assistant, the MA or MFA candidate is both student and employee.

The Department of Art and Art History offers up to three types of graduate assistantships depending on the needs of the department, the availability of funds and the qualifications of the individual graduate student. Students are selected through a competitive application process.

Please contact your respective MA or MFA graduate coordinator for more information about graduate assistantships.
