Biography

Lisa Chatterton is the Special Events Coordinator in the University Advancement Department at UT Tyler. Lisa joined the UT Health Science Center in Tyler in 2014 as the Event Director in Institutional Advancement. During this time, she was responsible for all donor and President’s events, as well as several grand openings at UT Health Science Center, including The School of Community and Rural Health, and the MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Prior to that Lisa spent most of her career in Dallas with the telecommunications company Nortel, in an international events management role which included traveling the world. Additionally, through ownership in her Event Consulting business, she produced events and incentive programs for corporations, associations, and individual clients. She also worked for American Heart Association in Dallas as Executive Director, Marketing and Events.

Dedicated to the meetings industry, Lisa has served on many industries advisory boards and holds the prestigious designation of Certified Meeting Professional (CMP).

She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, McCombs School of Business with a BBA.

Lisa is actively involved in professional development organizations in Tyler, including serving as President of Tyler Executive Women’s Network, 2020-2022, Leadership Tyler, Class 26, and President of the Tyler Rotary Club, 2015-2016.

In her free time, she enjoys participating in adventures with friends and family. Traveling is her passion, and she is always looking for the next place to explore. Lisa is also a huge football fan.
