Student Behavior Concerns

Housing

The Student Concerns Committee (SCC) was established to provide an administrative venue that is proactive in assessment, consultation and support regarding students who have elicited a concern or risk to themselves or to others at The University of Texas at Tyler.

The SCC will advise involved parties related to crisis management efforts through consultation, referrals and coordination. The goal of the SCC is to reduce crisis situations that negatively impact students and the general UT Tyler community.

The scope of the team is campus wide with a focus on information gathering for at-risk individuals or situations. When necessary, assistant vice presidents, directors, faculty, staff and other professionals will be invited to participate and provide information that will benefit the consultation and assessment process. The SCC will advise and make recommendations to the appropriate campus offices.

Members of the university community can notify the Student Concerns Committee about concerning behavior by sending an email or by contacting one of the listed offices directly.
