Biography

Yasemin Gunpinar completed her Ph.D. degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Mathematics Education at the University of Florida in 2014. She worked as a middle school mathematics teacher in private and public schools before coming to her current position. She is currently working on two different research fields including representational fluency in mathematics and data mining applications in teacher education. She has ranked first in the Marmara University Mathematics Teaching in Elementary Education Undergraduate Program and received “Outstanding International Student Award” two years in a row at the University of Florida during pursing her PhD. She was selected to participate in a program titled Service, Teaching, and Research (STaR) under the Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators (AMTE).
