Michaela Murphy

Biography

Ms. Murphy teaches First Year Writing with a focus on AI integration and student agency. Through guided agency in assignments and facilitated content transfer, her students become more proficient in their technology use and further crucial job skills. Because of her collaborative student-teacher approach to learning and exploration of new ideas within the classroom, her students have built personal connection and motivation in their studies. As a Lecturer, Ms. Murphy’s primary aims are to encourage students’ active participation in their learning, guide students to understand the value of their education, help students achieve success in their practices, and integrate technology (particularly AI) into the curriculum in a way which is easy to understand and apply.
