President's Event Center (PEC) and
Healthy Cooking Lab & Teaching Kitchen
Located on the UT Tyler Health Science Center campus on US Highway 271, the President's Event Center (PEC) and Health Cooking Lab & Teaching Kitchen are available for use by UT Tyler faculty and staff, registered student organizations, and community members.
The PEC provides an ideal setting for smaller banquets, teaching lectures, poster sessions, receptions, and similar events. This space features a mural painted in 1991 by Kilgore artist L.C. Kitchen, depicting the Health Science Center’s rich history – from its beginnings as Camp Fanin to the establishment of the institution as it stands today.
Conveniently located across the hall, the Healthy Cooking Lab and Teaching Kitchen is equipped with state-of-the-art appliances to support food preparation and service. It is perfectly suited for group cooking classes, culinary lessons, and summer cooking camps.
