Registration

General Registration 

UT Tyler encourages students to participate in the web registration periods for which scheduled dates and times are published in a brochure each semester. Students may add and drop during the regular on-campus registration periods as well as the late registration periods. Students desiring to add and drop during this period of time may do so through the registration process.

All in-person registration is conducted at the One-Stop Service Center (STE 230).

Log into myUTTyler, using your Patriot Account user name and password. Your Patriot Account must be activated before you can log into myUTTyler. To activate your Patriot Account, go to https://technology-support.uttyler.edu/email. To change your password, visit the Technology Support Lab in BUS 101 or send an email to itsupport@patriots.uttyler.edu. Please include the following information:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Student ID Number

Course Enrollments

The university reserves the right to cancel a scheduled course upon evidence of inadequate enrollment. Normally a minimum of ten students is required in an undergraduate course; graduate courses normally require a minimum of five students.

Repeating Courses / Grade Replacement

Enrolling in courses that are not specifically designated as 'repeatable for credit' cannot be completed via self-service enrollment in the myUTTyler Student Center page. Please see the Repeating Courses & Grade Replacement page for policy details.

Course Syllabi

Links to course syllabi for courses taught in the current semester may be found in the catalog. Course syllabi are posted at least 2 weeks before the beginning of each semester.

Open Educational Resources

Open Educational Resources (OER) or low-cost resources (under $50). By using OER and affordable learning resources, UT Tyler students can access needed information, data, and resources without the pressure of high-priced required course materials and textbooks. Additionally, when adding classes within the MyUTTyler Student Center, students can find in the course details whether a course has OER or low-cost resources available.
