Curriculum
Our fellowship curriculum emphasizes both clinical and procedural training. Key
components include:
- Core rotations: Gain experience in catheter-based interventions, coronary PCI to
include STEMI PCI and CHIP cases. The fellow can expect to gain experience with
the full gamut of mechanical circulatory support including LVAD and
ECMO. Training will be provided in management and treatment of peripheral arterial
disease. There will be exposure to structural heart disease and treatment
percutaneously. This includes TAVR, Mitral Clip, PFO closure, and Watchman. Our
structural heart team will start Tri Clip prior to 2026. Training will also be provided in
management of venous disease and its treatment. We participated in the SPYRAL
AFFIRM Global Study of RDN. In fact, we were in the top five of enrolling centers
worldwide. We are currently performing cases outside the study and naturally
fellows will become competent in this procedure. We expect to be debuting a PERT
program soon. - Didactic sessions: Attend regular lectures, case discussions, and hands-on
workshops to deepen your understanding of interventional techniques - Interdisciplinary collaboration:
