Cynthia Woody’s professional background includes three decades of experience as an
educator and leader in Texas schools and universities. She has served as Superintendent,
Principal, Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction, elementary teacher, middle
school teacher, and high school teacher, among other K-12 roles. Dr. Woody previously
served as the Director of Online Programs and Principal Program/M.Ed. Coordinator
for the UT Arlington College of Education, where she also held the rank of Clinical
Assistant Professor in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies Department. Dr. Woody
is a Fellow of the Texas Curriculum Leadership Academy and has been honored as a state
finalist for Educator of the Year and Administrator of the Year by the Association
of Texas Professional Educators. She holds multiple Texas Education Agency educator
and leadership certifications, as well as being a TEA-approved school board trainer,
field trainer, teacher evaluator, and principal evaluator.
