Examplify Student Guide
Examplify is the secure testing application used to download, complete and submit many School of Medicine examinations. Examplify is part of the Examsoft assessment platform and is installed directly on your Windows or Mac computer.
What Does Examplify Do?
Examplify allows you to:
- Download assigned exams before the testing session
- Take exams in a secure testing environment
- Automatically save your answers while you work
- Flag questions for review when permitted
- View exam timers and navigation tools
- Submit your completed exam
- Receive confirmation when your exam has been successfully uploaded
During a secure exam, Examplify may temporarilty prevent access to other applications, websites, files, messaging applications and other computer functions. Normal access to your computer is restored after you successfully exit the exam.
Installing Examplify
Before installed Examplify, make sure you are using the computer you intend to use for your exams. Examsoft does not allow the same assessment to be downloaded to multiple devices.

Visit Examsoft
Select Student/Exam taker, locate your institution (uttylermedicine) and sign in to your Examsoft account using your Patriots credentials. After signing in, select Download Examplify.

Examplify Download Information
Important - Always install the version of Examplify approved by the School of Medicine. Do not install an older or newer version simply because one is available on the Examsoft website.
Using Examplify
After signing in, exams that have been released to you will appear in the Examplify dashboard. An exam may appear as:
Ready for Download - The exam is available and can be downloaded and is stored locally on your computer.
Downloaded - The exam has already been downloaded and is stored locally on your computer.
Completed - The exam has been completed and submitted.

After Your Exam
When you finish your exam, Examplify will securely close the assessment and attempt to upload your completed exam file.
Do not leave the testing area until Examplify confirms that your exam has successfully uploaded.
Look for confirmation that the upload was successful. An internet connection is generally required to upload your completed exam even when the exam itself was completed offline.
If your exam does not upload, please keep your computer powered on and notifiy your exam proctor or School of Medicine IT Team. Examplify maintains local exam information that may assist with recovering or troubleshooting the submission.
