As executive director of the Robert M. Rogers Department of Psychiatry, Brittney oversees multiple state-funded initiatives aimed at increasing the mental health workforce and expanding access through innovative care delivery models. Her work centers on programs under the Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium (TCMHCC), including Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine (TCHATT), Youth Aware of Mental Health (YAM), the Child Psychiatry Access Network (CPAN), and the Perinatal Psychiatry Access Network (PeriPAN).
With more than two decades dedicated to the field of mental health, Brittney spent 10 years at the ETMC Behavioral Health Center providing direct patient care before moving to UT Tyler Health Science Center in 2014.
Brittney serves on the Texas Statewide Behavioral Health Coordinating Council, the TCMHCC Executive Council, and is a member of the Andrews Center Board of Trustees. She co-chairs the Tyler Out of the Darkness Walk for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) and serves on the Texas Suicide Prevention Executive Council.
She holds a BFA in Musical Theater from Emerson College, as well as an MA in Counseling Psychology and an MBA from The University of Texas at Tyler.
Brittney is driven by a clear goal: closing the gap between the need for mental health care and people's ability to access it. Work she believes—one program and one community at a time—can save lives.
