Sarah Burey is a Licensed Professional Counselor with certifications in school counseling and teaching. She brings nearly two decades of experience in public education to the TCHATT - Northeast Texas team, including 15 years dedicated to mental health roles across various school levels. Her career began as a middle school teacher, where she quickly discovered her passion for counseling; listening to students’ stories, supporting their challenges, and helping them uncover their passions and talents.

Sarah adopts a multi-modal approach to therapy, customizing her treatment plans and sessions to align with the client’s unique needs. Her primary goal is to create a safe, welcoming environment where individuals feel heard and valued. She employs evidence-based techniques to equip her clients with practical tools, resources, and strategies to navigate life’s difficulties, fostering healing and joy.

In addition to her counseling practice, Sarah is a TBRI Practitioner and leads mental health initiatives within her church’s Foster & Adopt Connection ministry. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their three children, connecting with friends, reading, traveling, and relaxing by the pool during the summer months.
