Maggie Ortega is a dedicated TCHATT Intake Specialist who serves as a vital link between students in need and transformative mental health support. With a deep passion for helping children and adolescents access the care they deserve; Maggie is committed to uplifting every individual she encounters. She firmly believes in meeting people where they are and empowering them to evolve into their best selves.

With over 13 years of experience in education and mental health, Maggie has devoted her career to helping young people uncover their strengths and navigate life's challenges. Her expertise lies in supporting both the academic and emotional development of children. She specializes in school counseling and social-emotional learning (SEL), helping students build resilience, manage their emotions, and enhance interpersonal skills while guiding them toward academic success. Proficient in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and trauma-informed care, Maggie creates a nurturing space for students to thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.

Maggie holds a Master of Science in Counseling from Texas A&M-Commerce. Outside of her professional pursuits, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, relishing good food, and immersing herself in captivating literature.
