Matthew embarked on his professional journey in education in 2018, where he spent four years as both a teacher and a coach. This experience ignited his passion for supporting students' mental health, leading him to pursue a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University, which he proudly completed in December 2023.

Matthew’s background in the mental health field includes serving as a special education counselor within a school district and working as a therapist for The University of Texas at Tyler Health Science Center’s TCHATT program. Through these roles, Matthew has witnessed firsthand the critical need for mental health services in educational settings. His mission as a therapist is to empower school-aged students with the tools and strategies they need to navigate life's challenges effectively.

Outside of his professional life, Matthew cherishes spending quality time with family and friends, staying active through exercise, and enjoying his role as a high school football official.
