Leah Philley is a seasoned Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), committed to enriching the educational and emotional well-being of students across Northeast Texas. With over 18 years of experience in education and mental health, Leah has dedicated her career to supporting students' social and emotional development, particularly within Title I schools.  

Leah earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from Baylor University in 2004, beginning her career in elementary education where she taught fifth and second graders for three years. Driven by a passion for helping students and families, she completed a master’s in school counseling at Dallas Baptist University in 2009. In 2010, Leah pursued LPC licensure, completing coursework at The University of Texas at Tyler, and became fully licensed in 2011. She also earned her LPC Supervisor credential in 2022.  

Over the past 15 years, Leah has worked in K-8 educational settings, specializing in crisis intervention, solution-focused counseling, and therapeutic modalities such as sand tray and play therapy. Most recently, she has served as both a mental health counselor and elementary school counselor within public education, while also supervising LPC associates and interns for Tyler Independent School District.  

Leah is dedicated to ongoing professional development and practices a systems-based counseling approach that integrates cognitive-behavioral techniques, solution-focused strategies, and reality therapy. She is passionate about fostering collaborative partnerships with schools, families, and community organizations to provide comprehensive support and make a lasting positive impact on students' lives.
