Kourtney is a Licensed Professional Counselor with supervisor credentials through the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council. She is a proud graduate of Nacogdoches High School and Gardner-Webb University. With over 16 years of experience in the mental health and counseling field, Kourtney has worked across diverse settings including independent school districts, inpatient treatment centers, correctional facilities, crisis intervention centers, and outpatient community mental health programs.
Her therapeutic expertise encompasses a wide range of areas, such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, body image and gender identity issues, psychosis, personality disorders, trauma, substance abuse, behavioral challenges, autism spectrum and sensory processing disorders, attention deficit disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as grief and adjustment concerns. She has extensive experience providing both individual and group therapy, along with various assessments for children and adults.
Kourtney is passionate about meeting clients where they are, offering support and encouragement through evidence-based practices to foster awareness, growth, symptom management, and resilience. She is also an experienced presenter, having spoken on national and local platforms about mental health awareness, suicide prevention, bullying prevention, de-escalation techniques, and behavior management.
